James R. Andersen
Biography
Mr. Andersen, an AV rated Preeminent attorney by Martindale-Hubbell, and the Managing Partner of Rollins, Smalkin, Richards & Mackie, LLC, became a Partner in 2009. Mr. Andersen has handled a wide variety of litigation matters including litigation involving truck drivers and their employers, products liability matters, construction litigation, and medical and dental malpractice matters. He has tried well over one hundred jury trials in courts throughout the state of Maryland, in the United States District Court and even a jury trial in the Alameda County Superior Court in California.
Immediately following law school, Mr. Andersen served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Paul E. Alpert in the Maryland Court of Special Appeals. Currently, Mr. Andersen enjoys coaching his son’s baseball teams, playing golf and is a Civil War enthusiast. He resides in Carroll County, Maryland with his wife Amy and their three children.
